The maternal diet influences fat and glucose metabolism of offspring through epigenetic alterations

Children of obese mothers prove to have higher metabolic disorders later in life. In a recent study published in the journal of Diabetes it found that women who had a high-fat diet during pregnancy and lactation, increased epigenetic changes in the offspring.
